What is SUS 304 Vs SS 304?
The material SUS304 is a Japanese JIS Standard and one of the most often used stainless steels, comprising 18% Cr and 8% Ni. In elevated temperature and low-temperature environments, it can remember excellent strength and heat resistance, and at room temperature, it also has excellent corrosion resistance, weldability, cold workability, and mechanical characteristics.
AISI 304 stainless steel is the material most regularly used in stainless steels and is usually bought in hardened or cold condition. Since SS 304 includes 18% chromium (Cr) and 8% nickel (Ni), stainless steel is also known as 18/8. CORROSION RESISTANCE :-
In a broad range of atmospheric settings and many corrosive media, stainless steel grade 304 is outstanding. In warm chloride environments, it is subject to pitting and crevice corrosion and stresses corrosion cracking above 60 ° C (approximate).
